I contacted Nice Tub to inquire about having my old bathtub refinished. I spoke with Mike who was very professional, explained the entire process in detail, and quoted me a price that was a bit less expensive than another place that I had contacted. I agreed to his price and sent a deposit and made an appointment to have the work done

The worker showed up on time and got right to work. The process took about 6 hours (and takes another 24 hours before I could use the tub) and was bit loud at time but I was able to retreat into my downstairs office and get some work done. When he was finished I couldn’t believe how bright and shiny my tub was – better than brand new!

The crew at Nice Tub and Tile is first rate. Our tub had been neglected since the ’50s and was a mess. They re-finished it and it now looks spectacular.

Mike, the owner, has a wealth of experience. He identified the model of my tub within a few minutes of conversation. His contracting business has also completely kept up with the times. To do the quote, I took pictures of the tub with my iPhone, emailed it to him, and we discussed the job while looking at the same pictures. He then emailed me a .pdf quote within the hour. He also explained the possible things that can go wrong when refinishing old tubs and with the quote, properly set my expectations of a worst case cost in case he ran into problems.

His crew was on time, courteous, and skilled. They refinished the tub in one day. Our tub was in really bad shape, and after the first re-finishing, it still had some minor pits and divots. Mike and Donovan immediately came back out, and addressed all problems with no arguments. Donovan is especially enthusiastic about his workmanship.

I highly recommend these people on all counts – skill, service, politeness, and efficiency.

We are absolutely happy with the job that Nice Tub & Tile Refinishing did with our bathrooms. We just bought this old house in Willow Glen. The exisiting tile in the bathrooms were outdated. For an excellent and quick transformation of your existing tiles, Nice Tube & Tile Refinishing is definitely the way to go. There are different colors or your could customize by combining different colors. We elected to combine our favorit earth tone colors and very happy with the outcome. It’s definitely unique. The staff was very pleasant and very professional. We were fortunate to have Michael Gundran, the owner, transform our bathroom. Great job Michael!!!

Two weeks ago i spoke with Mike about getting our bathroom redone. He faxed me an estimate and got on their schedule. I had called several other companies but was not impressed with their phone conversation. Mike explained the process, how long it will take and i felt very comfortable using Nice Tub &Tile for our project. Nice Tub & Tile refinished the bathtub and the surrounding walls. I must say it looks amazing. The technician did a fantastic job, very clean!!!

Mike Gundren runs this business with the personal attention to detail and customer service that makes a difference. He did a shower for me in Redwood City, that now looks brand new.

His prices are good. His work is PERFECT. The shower is now a year old and still looks brand new. No chipping or cracks. I know it hasn’t been 5-10 yrs, but 1 yr later its still great.

Wow, what a difference refinishing makes! Before moving into our condo, I wanted to get our shower stall (in the master bathroom) and tub/shower (in the guest bathroom) refinished. The prior owner didn’t take very good care of them … dingy, yellowed areas, double-sticky tape on the walls, etc. It was nasty! So nasty that when you take a shower, you would probably feel less clean than before, you know?

We had a cleaning crew come in, and there was only so much they could do. I called a couple places for quotes on refinishing, and Mike (the owner) gave me the lowest quote AND had the longest guaranty period.

Donovan came to do the job over two days. He was awesome! He covered everything in our bathrooms. And, he covered our floors/carpet (I appreciated that b/c we just got new flooring installed).

The end result was amazing! I feel like we have a new shower stall and tub/shower. Everything is so white and clean! I love it. My wife loves it! It certainly was a great investment. Donovan did a spectacular job.

We did have a couple of follow-up issues – our shower door looked slightly crooked after it was re-installed and we had a leaky tub (which was actually our issue). They were able to take care of the shower door at my earliest convenience. As for the leaky tub, we used a referral from Mike.

Overall: Awesome work. Definitely one of the better contractors we’ve used. Very timely in returning calls. Mike is a straightforward, to-the-point, honest guy.
